LINC believes that chess is a great way for children to learn and think strategically. The programs use chess to enhance students' self-confidence, thinking skills and academic achievement. In 2023-2024, LINC will be playing chess at 36 different LINC Caring Communities sites and plans to hold three chess tournaments and a girls-only tournament.
